Korian's presentation
The Korian Group, founded in 2001, is the French and European temporary and permanent dependency care market leader.
A private group employing over 14,000 people, Korian has a broad portfolio of activities that dovetail effectively with one another in France, Italy and Germany.
Its 218 facilities represented a combined total of 20 759 beds at 31 December 2009.
- In France, 116 retirement homes (EHPAD), 35 follow-up care and rehabilitation clinics (SSR) and 11 psychiatric clinics for a combined total of 162 facilities and 13 698 beds.
- In Europe, 22 facilities in Italy for a total of 3 032 beds and 34 facilities in Germany for a total of 4 029 beds.
The Group improves continuously the quality of its services and is committed to developing innovative care solutions. Furthermore, Korian is actively engaged in applied research initiatives in partnership with leading teams in France in order to constantly improve its care: fall prevention, nutrition for the elderly, studies about the temperature in facilities…
Korian strategy thus requires an ambitious staff management policy with ongoing training efforts, recruitement and rallying of doctors around group projects or encouragement of in-house promotion and qualifications.
