A graduate from the IEP in Paris and the ENA, a large part of his administrative career has been spent at the ministry for social affairs and most notably as director for Social Security from 1983 to 1987. He then joined the insurance sector (most notably AGF and Axa). After three years at IGAS from 2002 to 2005, he took on the position of adviser to the executive officer of health insurance from October 2005. He rejoined Korian in December 2006 and was appointed as a member of the Executive Board. François Mercereau has been managing director of operations since 1 April 2008.

A house doctor in Paris hospitals from 1979, he became a doctor of medicine in 1983. A large part of his working life has been spent within the Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) as both an adviser to the chambers of the director general of the AP-HP from 1987 to 2007 and as member of the management committee from 1987 to 1996 while at the same time continuing to practise orthopaedic surgery. He joined Korian in June 2007 as director of medical policy and institutional relations, then in February 2010 he was appointed to sit on the executive board, as managing director of the Group's development and provision of services. Dr Denormandie still works as a surgical consultant on a part-time basis at the Raymond Poincaré hospital in Paris (AP-HP) where he is in charge of the adult neuro-orthopaedic unit. Alongside these duties, he continues to contribute to the editing of scientific publications and to work with research groups particularly within the field of geriatrics.

Louis Guyot, Finance and international managing director

Louis Guyot, graduate of the prestigious École Polytechnique and the civil engineering school of the Paris Institute of Technology, began his career in the Treasury department, where, from 1998 to 2000, he was in charge of social housing. In 2002 he became Finance Director of Médica France, at the time of its doubling  in size and of the first LBO. In 2004 he was appointed as Development Director at Compagnie des Alpes, when it absorbed Grévin & Cie, Walibi, Serre Chevalier and Val d’Isère. In 2007, Louis Guyot joined Dalkia, energy division of the Veolia group, where he took on the position of Director for finance and operations in the development division (USA, Russia-Baltic States, Middle-East, Asia).

 

Chaired by Christian Chautard, it has seven other members, of which three are independent. All are appointed for a duration of six years and are re-eligible. No members of the supervisory board may sit on the executive board. On 8 June 2006 the supervisory board adopted internal regulations which specified both its working practices and the rules for good conduct which its members must comply with, in order to ensure greater transparency and improved governance of the company.

  • The Pay and Recruitment committee is made up of Christian Chautard (Chair), Pierre Bieber and Jean Castex.
  • The Audit committee is made up of Jacques Ambonville, Julien Ruggieri and Jean-Jacques Duchamp.
  • The Investment committee is made up of Charles Ruggieri (Chair), Jacques Ambonville, Christian Chautard and Jean-Jacques Duchamp.
  • the Ethics and Risks committee is made up of Jean-Paul Thonier (Chair), Jean Castex, Christian Chautard and Pierre Bieber, and two members from outside the supervisory board: Dr Claude Malhuret (Korian's ethical development director) and Michel Villatte.
